I have had a colorful life, and most of it has been spent in and around aircraft. I started as a Navy Aviation Electronics Technician on carrier deployments, served as an infantryman in the 101st Airborne, and finished my time in uniform as an Aircrew Technician in the Army National Guard. That was about a decade.

The FAA came next: 17 years and nine separate jobs, most of them lateral moves I chose because they sounded interesting. Airway Transportation Systems Specialist at Denver International Airport. Management Program Analyst for nearly 400 air traffic facilities. FAA Academy Instructor and Curriculum Developer. National Training Program Manager. Along the way I earned an MBA, an MPA, and a PhD in organization and management, and I taught project management at the graduate level for more than a decade, including five years as Director of the Center for Project Management Innovation at Harrisburg University.

Vector Strategic Consulting is what that experience is for. I advise leadership teams on strategy, risk, and AI governance in industries where the cost of a wrong decision is real, and I write and speak about aviation safety for a national audience. I focus on context as much as expertise: knowing what a fact means in the room where the decision gets made.
